Many people think the Gita is only about “letting go.” In reality, it is a book about Strategic Action. Krishna does not tell Arjuna to fight blindly; He prepares him with knowledge, vision, and a clear plan.

1. The Three Pillars of a “Gita-Style” Plan

To create a plan that actually works, it must have three layers:

  • The Vision (The Goal): This must be aligned with your Dharma (Duty). If your plan is only for selfish gain, it will eventually cause stress. If your plan serves a higher purpose, it provides endless energy.

  • The Strategy (The Process): Krishna emphasizes Karmasu Kaushalam (Excellence in Action). Your plan must focus on the “How”—the skills and steps required to do the job perfectly.

  • The Adaptability (The Result): A good planner knows that while the effort is planned, the outcome is subject to change. A “Gita-Planner” stays flexible.

2. Planning according to the Three Gunas

How you plan determines your success. Which category does your planning fall into?

  • Tamasic Planning: No plan at all. Living in confusion, procrastination, and waiting for “luck” to change things. (Leads to failure).

  • Rajasic Planning: Over-planning driven by greed or ego. Too much focus on the “fruits” (money, fame). This leads to high stress and burnout. (Leads to temporary success but long-term exhaustion).

  • Sattvic Planning: Planning with a calm mind, focused on duty, organized steps, and the welfare of others. (Leads to sustainable success and peace).

3. The “Yajna” Mindset in Project Planning

In Chapter 3, Krishna speaks of Yajna (Sacrifice/Contribution). When you plan a project for BarbarikIQ or any business:

  1. Define the Contribution: Who does this plan help?

  2. Organize the Resources: What tools (Arduino, sensors, software) are needed?

  3. Execute without Ego: Work as a team, not for individual glory.

4. Practical Exercise: The “Dharma” Roadmap

Take your current biggest goal and break it down:

  1. What is the Action? (The part you control 100%).

  2. What is the Purpose? (Why are you doing this?).

  3. What is the Potential Obstacle? (Prepare your mind to stay calm if this happens).

Summary for Students

“A plan without Action is a dream. Action without a plan is a nightmare. But Action with a Sattvic Plan is Yoga.”
